The sculptor really outdid themselves with this massive wooden ship figurehead! You won’t find another one like it anywhere. It’s a whopping 31 inches tall, 15 inches wide, and it weighs well over 50 pounds! They made it by gluing and compressing pieces of wood together, then carving it. It’s in pretty good shape for its age, which is around 200 years old. There are a few splits here and there, but it doesn’t go through, so it’s really tough and sturdy.
